What is Ligament and Which Foods are Good for Ligament Health

Ligament Injuries:

A sprain is a form of overstretched or torn form of a ligament. Pain and swelling are common in the joint where sprain happens. Sprains can weaken the joints and make you unable to bear weight.

Foods to Improve Ligament Health:

As we grow, we don’t take care of our bones and tissues. Here are some foods which can improve the health of bones and ligaments.

Calcium:

Calcium plays an important role in the health of bones and tendons. A calcium-rich diet can improve the density of the bones. Raw dairy, almonds, okra, cooked kale, green vegetables, cheese, bok choy, yogurt, cooked broccoli, and kefir are some foods that are rich in calcium.

Vitamin D:

Vitamin D is another essential part of bones and ligaments. Some foods such as raw mil, mushrooms, cod liver oil, and eggs are rich in vitamin D.

Vitamin K:

Cabbage, asparagus, scallions, and other leafy greens are rich in vitamin K and improve the quality of ligament.

Other Important Nutrients:

Magnesium, potassium, amino acids, and some other minerals are also important to improve the health of ligament.

Conclusion:

Bones plays an important role in our body. Weak or poor bones can’t function properly. For proper functionality of the bones keep them healthy by eating healthy foods and by adopting an improved lifestyle.
