A thick fluid that contains bacteria and many other dead tissues is called pus. It is produced when the body fights the infections that are caused by bacteria.

Pus could be of many colors. The color of pus depends on various factors such as the type of infection and location of pus. it could be brown, white, green or yellow. Sometimes it could be odorless and sometimes it creates a foul smell.

How to Get Rid of Pus?

It depends on the seriousness of the infection. If it is worst then you need an antibiotic to fight the infection.

If abscesses are small, a wet and warm compress can help you in draining pus. You have to apply it several times a day. Pressing it forcefully can push pus deeper into the skin. It can create another open wound that can cause another infection.

Applying the warm in the right way is crucial to get rid of it, otherwise, you’ll spread the infection.

For deeper and bigger abscesses, you’ll need medical help. The doctor will drain your puss by making a small incision in the area of puss. If it is much deeper or very large, they may insert a tube to take it out.

Precautions:

Some infections are unavoidable. You have to take proper treatment. But by doing the following, you can reduce the risk.
